Pilots fall asleep during flight
A survey shows that pilots often fall asleep during flight |
Are you a night owl or an early bird?
HENRY: That is a diffucult question for us pilots. I would say, that is more a question of altitudes.
When the plane is more than 25,000 feet above sea level I always fall asleep, but once we go below 25,000 feet I automatically wake up. The sleep / wakeup altitude can vary from pilot to pilot.
And I can guarantee that it is absolutely safe. There's no way that I accidently can access any of the instruments during my sleep.
That wasn't a baby boom
Jennifer in a Chinese hospital |
Tells us about an astonishing event in your life.
JENNIFER: - I was in China, slipped on a banana peel and broke my arm and was hospitalized to get the arm in plaster. There was a long queue, at least 20 other people had broken arms or legs and had to be plastered.
But the biggest surprise was the queue with all the women who needed help to give birth on that day - hundreds of women in labour, and yet there is a one-child policy in China!
Zapiekanka on plac Nowy
Zapiekanka: I’d eat this everyday of my life, damn tasty! |
Zapiekanka is the Polish version of pizza. It’s a long sliced half of a baked baguette, mushrooms and cheese on top with a very liberal dose of tomato ketchup. This is the traditional version but you can alternate the toppings with your own plus also add a sprinkling of fried onions or chives on top. Delicious.
Plac Nowy, Krakow |
The best Zapiekanke you get at plac Nowy, the hub of all the action in Kazimierz. On a summer evening it’s a great setting for a delicious snack!
